The 10th KICOSCA games head to Meru County

The 10th edition of the Kenya Inter County Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) games will be held in Meru County from 13th to 19th August 2023. Counties from all over the Country will be expected to parade their team to compete in several ball games and indoor games.

In April this year, Tharaka Nithi County hosted the Kenya Youth Inter County Sports Association for youths under -23 years. Present during the KICOSCA opening ceremony was Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki Governor, Dr. Faith Mutegi the CECM Youth Affairs, Social Development and Sports in Meru County.

Speaking to The Eastern Newspaper Meru County sports Officer Justine Bundi said that the teams will participate in football, basketball, netball, handball, and volleyball amongst others. Some of the indoor games will include badminton, table tennis, and chess.

The opening and closing ceremonies will be held at the Kinoru stadium. Other venues for the games will be KeMU, Meru University, Meru ASK showground, Meru National Polytechnic, Meru Teachers College, and Gikumene Girls”.

The games will gather together different people from various Counties around a moment of entertainment, relaxation, and communication. This will enhance solidarity among people.
