Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, and Ruto’s allies have trashed former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya for fighting the Ruto government in the county.

Gachagua said Mt Kenya region is a no-go zone for Azimio leader Raila Odinga adding that it is a shame that Munya is being used to cause chaos in the region.

“I urge Meru MCAs to be careful that Munya does not infiltrate you to cause fights in the county government so as to please his Azimio masters. He does not mean well for Meru,” Gachagua said.
Gachagua accused Munya of deteriorating the Agriculture sector as the CS.

Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi claimed that Munya failed to make the Country food secure.
Linturi noted that they will be holding a meeting with all leaders within Mt Kenya with an agenda of taming Munya.

“We are to meet as Gema and we won’t allow people without direction to destroy a government that we fought for,” he said.

Linturi said Kenya rejected retired President Uhuru Kenyatta because of his association with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and the handshake will not work again.

“The constitution must be defended but theirs is not genuine protests but to deteriorate the Kenyan economy. Since 1982 when Raila was associated with a coup he has been using similar antics to join the government through the back door. No one is ready to go to the streets. Give us time. There are plans on how to revive the economy,” he said.

Linturi said those opposing Ruto’s government should be dealt with like terrorists.

“Those who wrote the constitution knew there would be a loser and a winner. Once defeated go home relax and wait for the next election time. We are saying enough is enough,” he said.

Meru senator Kathuri Murungi who is also the senate deputy speaker said Raila’s protests have no interest to Mwananchi but he is finding a way to join the Government.

“But we won’t allow. We have told Ruto we shall completely leave him if he will have a handshake with Raila. They just want to misuse our youths. What did Munya do for the years he has been in the government? No circumcised Meru man puts a sufuria on his Head. We only have one President and we gave Ruto more than 400,000 and we are stakeholders and our shares must,” he said.

Buuri MP Mugambi Rindikiri said Kenyans are tired of empty rhetoric by opposition leader Raila Odinga.

“Why is he bringing Karua in Meru rather than in Kirinyaga it is our time to get benefits and fruits from this government they are destroying,” Rindikiri said.
