Isiolo leaders laud partnership with Living Goods for provision of health services

Leaders from Isiolo County have lauded the partnership between the County Government and the Living Goods organization that will see residents benefit from improved provision of health services.

Under the partnership, Living Goods will come up with sustainable and cost effective healthcare solutions as well as engaging community health workers in remote parts of the County.

Isiolo County woman representative Rehema Jaldesa hailed the partnership as a game changer that will revolutionize the health sector in the County.

Rehema bemoaned the rising cost of healthcare in the country and called on leaders to come up with programs that will improve healthcare provision without causing financial strain to residents.

Isiolo Governor Mohammed Kuti called on leaders from the County to embrace the project and join hands with his administration in order to improve the welfare of the locals.

He further cautioned leaders against peddling propaganda over the deal pointing out that the deal would run for only four years with renewal pegged on the services rendered. Kuti added that the cost of healthcare was not set to rise and the deal.

“Leaders should refrain from making baseless utterances just because they want to oppose a project. The partnership with Living Goods will run for four years if accepted and will only be renewed if the residents of Isiolo are satisfied with the services delivered” Governor Kuti said.
