Isiolo County: The rise and rise of Juba FC

Sports in Isiolo County continue to be one of the greatest avenues that gainfully occupy the youths. This helps to keep the youths away from vices such as drug abuse, crime scenes and radicalization. Juba Football Club is the talk of Isiolo town today. The team is participating in the Eastern Region zone B league and has been leading the table standing for almost the whole season and followed very closely by KeMU FC the only team so far to have beaten them in Isiolo. Juba FC has created a perfect platform for the youths in Isiolo to nurture their talents.  The CEO of the team Hassan Abdi in an interview with The Eastern Newspaper had this to say “We support the players in the team by providing playing equipment’s and facilities, transport to the venues of the competitions, medical care, food and upkeep among others. Juba FC has performed remarkably well in the League because when the club was formed they selected the cream de la crème in Isiolo in terms of talent and discipline. The players are passionate and with the facilities and equipment’s provided by the team, success is almost inevitable”. The secret behind the success of Juba FC and its marvelous organization is the trust amongst both officials and players in the team.  The Head Coach of the team is Mohamed Daud and the Team Manager is Rashid Wario. The CEO further adds that “The club founder Mohamed Abdi is the most experienced man in the team as far as football matters are concerned”. To them all their players are the best. On the way forward and future, Juba FC is working to achieve their main objective which is to grow talents and reach their target of advancing to the highest level. The team is planning to have a football academy so that they can give the young generation an opportunity to play and study as well. The CEO Hassan Abdi believes “Tenda mema nenda zako.” Meaning do your best and go away.
