Bulla Pesa residents demand development

Residents of Bulla Pesa, Isiolo County are up in arms in what they are terming as neglect by the government.

The residents have accused the Government of neglecting their development needs and overseeing shoddy works in the area.

According to them, they have suffered for long due to lack of an operational dispensary in the area to carter for their medical needs. The residents noted that 7 years since the construction of a dispensary which was jointly built through funding from the Constituency Development Fund and the British army, they are yet to benefit from any services at the facility.

The residents further noted that the Fakir Bridge which connects the area residents to other parts of the county was shoddily renovated and has already deteriorated.

Hassan Guyo, a resident of Bulla Pesa noted that during the rainy season, it was hard to access other parts of the County owing to flooding along the bridge.

“What we need here is a permanent bridge well above the ground. The previous contractor just dumped murram around this area and took off despite being paid fully by the government.” Said Guyo.

The residents are now appealing to Isiolo Governor Mohammed Kuti to address their plight as promised in the run up to the 2017 general elections.
