Embu: Residents protest against graft

Embu County residents have called on the Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti to initiate investigations into the County government over graft.

The residents have accused the County administration of lack of transparency in the allocation of tenders and employment processes.

They decried the sorry state of infrastructure and shortage of drugs at the Embu level five hospital despite the facility receiving in excess of 98 million shilling for infrastructure upgrade. The residents also raised concerns over the renovation works at the Embu Moi Stadium. They complained of shoddy works carried out in the stadium whose refurbishment has cost in excess of 200 million shillings.
